Hi All,

Can any body please tell what is oracle 10gr2 companion and what is its use. As i have 10gr2_db_sol.cpio and 10gr2_companion_sol.cpio. I wanted to know which file is used for installing the oracle 10gR2.

You have to use db, companion consist of various sample examples like HTML, HTTP servers, JAVA VM etc

Hi.

Can you please guide me how to install oracle10gR2 companion. I have installed oracle 10gR2 server on solaris. i have applied 10.2.0.2 patch on it. Now i have to install oracle 10g companion.
What are the pre-requisites before starting installation. What steps should i follow for that.
