Uninstallation of Oracle 9i [message #230176]

Hi All,

I was trying to uninstall oracle 9207 on my development server. But when i run the runInstaller from the directory /ORACLE_HOME/oui/bin it gives the following error.

$ runInstaller
Starting Oracle Universal Installer...

Checking installer requirements...

Checking operating system version: must be 5200 or 5100
Failed <<<<

Exiting Oracle Universal Installer, log for this session can be found at /tmp/OraInstall2007-04-11_03-32-52PM/installActions2007-04-11_03-32-52PM.log

Kindly help me to uninstall the oracle without any error.

runInstaller -ignoreSysPrereqs

And what information do you have in the oraparam.ini file under the "topic" [Certified Versions] ?

I was tried all the possible ways to uninstall with your command exactly also. But i get the same error. Do you have any other please post me.

Change this section in the file

Try to manual add
AIX=5300,5200,5100

And try again

Finally i uninstalled with the 10g runInstaller. It seems it can be used the higher version for uninstallation.
