hello sir

Last week we add datafile for ur server but unfortunately we miss ".dbf" formate

>alter tablespace <tn> add datafile '/mnt/test1'

eg: "/mnt/test1" ---->insteed of "/mnt/test1.dbf"

so we missed the ".dbf" ,now we added another datafile also in the name of '/mnt/test2.dbf' ,but it shows no error till now

plz advice me what can i do ,i dont know whether it will affect in future or not

plz help me to grt rid from the issue

plz explain the difference between "data01.dbf" and "data01" file in datafile
what will happen if we use "data01" insteed of "data01.dbf

plz help me sir
