hello all,

i have a problem to install Oracle 9x or Oracle 10.x ( both the same problem)
The service OracleServiceXXX could not installed
oracle 9.2.01 i got the problem error -2 service installe
then ORA-12560
orcale 10.1.0.1 i got the error ORA-12560
i checked all sqlnet.ora , tnsnames .... but i don't saw an error

the Install window is very small, maybe there is a java problem

Microsoft 2003 Server R2 Standard -edition
I am the administrator / active directorie is installed and terminalserver /administration
no Firewall
no Virussoftware

Just a wild guess:
Has there been a database before with the same name/SID?

If that is the case maybe the oracle service allready exists.

If so you can remove the service first with oradim command.
