I am facing problem with database performance

Top 5 timed events in statspack report

Event Waits Time (s) Ela Time
resmgr:waiting in end wait________ 6,071,849_____198,233____52.78
db file scattered read____________ 7,760,498______79,592____21.19
CPU time____________________________________54,224____14.44
db file sequential read____________3,850,842______24,723_____6.58
enqueue__________________________2,655_______7,726_____2.06

Can anybody help me to find what could be the problem?
