I have a db running on 9i on my server.

I have recently installed oracle 10g software (10.2.0.1) on the same server in a different directory.

I managed to create a 10g db and got both listeners to run. the block size I got by default was 8192.

i then installed patchset 10.2.0.3 on top of the oracle 10 and upgraded my 10g db as well following the instructions for the patch.

i then dropped that 10g db because it wouldnt let me create a tablespace with 32K size.
Now when i try to create another db using dbca utility. i get ORA 01092 errors. on checking in alert logs and logs for the installation. it seems its expecting a temporary tablespace as part of the create database script which it runs.

is this an effect of applying the patch because this only started after installing the patch software?

Could be totally unrelated.
This might be your case.
