Hi all,
I have next problem. I install on Fedora core 4 Oracle 10g 10.2.0 db and when I execute comand lsnrctl start next message appears

Starting /u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1/bin/tnslsnr: please wait...

TNS-12537: TNS:connection closed
TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
TNS-00507: Connection closed
Linux Error: 29: Illegal seek

can anyone help me with this

Do you have an /etc/hosts file ?

Yes I have /etc/hosts file and there is line like this

127.0.0.1 <localhost> <localdomain>

but ip of my PC is 10.1.1.20

is this problem maybe?Or I must configure network properly

You have to have the string
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost

in the file

the exact 127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
not 127.0.0.1 pera.mika.us petdva

thanks man I fix problem whit this


127.0.0.1 pera.mika.us petdva localhost.localdomain localhost

all must be in line
