Hi my shared pool size 55000000
db_block_buffer is 3200
log_buffer 1024000
db_block_size 2048
RAM 512MB

I want to increase db_block_buffer. How much should I increase so that I can get a good optimization or is there any way to calculate.

Thanks

Good optimization for what?
OLTP or DSS or What?
I would rather start small or default and tune it / increase it on the need.

This all parameters are default parameters. I am using TOAD to see the stats for this database and its showing up that I need to increase db_block_buffer size. I dont know how to start tuning buffer. Is there any calculations I need to do and from there I can go further....
