Can i choose RAC instance name rather than defined by DBCA?
for example, i want to name my instance as <DBNAME>_1

If yes, how can i change it? while creating the database or after creating the database?

what do you mean by set your ORACLE_SID properly?

I know RAC creates the instance name appended with the node number - what i want is the way to create the instance with the diffenre name than created by DBCA.
