In 10g release 2, you are now able to drop single datafiles from tablespaces.

u can't drop a single datafile from tablespace in 9i but in 10g it is possible

do one thing

1.take export of old tablespace
2.create a new tablespace wiht required datafile
3.import the dump to new tablespace
4.drop the old tablespace
