Hi ,
Can someone tell me why windows service for an instance not going down,after instance shutdown from SQLPLUS .

Otherwise,how windows service is realted to isntance running.

Shutting down the database from SQL*Plus does not affect the Windows service. To stop Windows service associated with the database, you'll have to issue:

net stop <oracleservicename>

This should help:
