Your question is trivial and i certainly do not understand its importance. Meaning of Active sessions and inactive session are self explanatory. If the session is doing/waiting for something, it is active. Else , it is inactive. So how can 'convert' an inactive session to active or vice-versa? Logically, just make the session to do something (to make it active) or just stop doing anything ( to make it inactive).
I did'nt understand what you were looking into. That was reason behind my counter-question.
