Hi Everybody,
Iam a oracle developer and new to DBA. I have very recently installed a Oracle-9i database on my m/c on Windows XP. During the installation itself I created a instance ORAONE. Hence Iam able logon to this instance correctly as uid/pwd@ORAONE. Now, on the same ORACLE server can I create another instance like ORATWO ??
Please let me know of what do I need to do to make that happen and where do I find this information.

summary:
Iam trying to create two instances on a single ORACLE Service.

Thanks You All In Advance!!

hi..

Logon as sysdba and create new instance
either by 1) DBCA or manually

just remeber that before logging on set new oracle SID in case you are going for manually

You can use "dbca" for creating a new instance and if you wish to do it manually then look into the following link.
