Hi,

I have oracle 8.1.7 and oracle 9.2.0.1.0 installed on one PC. OS is Win 2K. In 8.1.7 I had 3 database which I migrated to 9.2 by using database "ORACLE DATABASE UPGRADE ASSISTEN" utility. Database migrated successfully.

Then I restarted the PC. Now none of mine upgraded databases are working. It gives the following error.
ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exist

But when I use to give the STARTUP command manually to all the database from DOS prompt, all the database works normally. Though the serivices of all the databases are in Automatic Mode and started after restarting the PC.

Can any one please help me in this regard.

Thanks

may be it is your oracle service.
Recreate a new service using ORADIM.
Search the board for more information.
