I have oracle 9.2.0.5 database on AIx 5.2 server. I have 3 instance on it. one of the instacne has snp0 process runing for last 3 days and consumming lot of cpu usage about 73%. Even after shuting down the database snp0 process was on. and is still running. Can I kill the porcess? As it is job queue process how can I know what opreation is taking place?

Is that a broken job or what?

Must have become a zombie.
Talk to your sysadmin. Try to manually kill the process. Else reboot the machine.
