In 10g after droping a table, its not available in recyclebin. What could be the reason.

After droping an object if i want to that object to be available in recyclebin what process should i follow?

It seems strange for me.Maybe there is a DDL trigger that purge ther recycle bin after you drop a table.

Are you sure that it is not there immediately following your drop? Can you post your session information where you create and then drop a table and show us that it is not there?

Also keep in mind that it will only be there if there is enough free space in the tablespace to hold it. If other tables grow, they will overwrite the dropped objects.

Also oracle changed the behavior of user_tables between version 10.1.0.2 and either 10.1.0.3 or 10.1.0.4 so that dropped tables do not show up by default in that view like they did originally.
