After that 9i client is installed on another XP machine whichis in the same network of server
Now the problem is
i m not able to open the oracle from internet explorer.
I can work from SQL prompt.
But i feel it is easier to work from editor window,
So if anybody can help me in this issue,

There is no "Database Control" or as you say "web based admin tool" in version 9i as I know. You may read unrelated documents.
You should use sqlplus and login as sys to open database.

hi

There is a tool in 9i n its called isqlplus . With the help of it u can access oracle from internet explorer. But u cannot do administrative work, from internet explorer. This tool is mainly meant for normal users like scott.

Just u have to write :

http://localhost/isqlplus

in ur internet explorer n u wil get an interface provided all the services related to oracle should be running like HTTPserver service of oracle.

Try it n let me know. Its working on my machine.
