hi all,

i just wanted to know w/c is more efficient: more datafiles in a tablespace or a bigger, single datafile on a tablespace?

running oracle 9.2 on win 2000 server

It depends on your underlying disk I/O system. How many hard drives you have, and the configuration of those drives. And the size, complexity, and use of your database plays a role in how much time you are going to have to administer it.
