Hi gurus!
Problem: i m getting the error ora-00600[733],[538969648],[pga heap] when i try to open the database.
Reason: The story is that i had the oracle software/database installed on "d:\oracle...." now "c:\" was formated where my Widnow2000 servers was installed. So oracle software/databse is now not functioning at all but i have the control files,redo log files & data files. I then installed a new copy of oracle software in the same "d:\" drive but in a different folder. But first i copied the control files,redo log files & data files & put in somewhere then uninstalled the previous copy of oracle software. Now i want to recover the previous database' data in new copy of oracle software/databse.
Kindly let me the solution!

Hi
If u r using Oracle9i:
Startup ur database using pfile, and then recreate ur spfile after getting the db up.
1 possible cause for this error is that the spfile got edited.
Recreating the spfile after starting the db using a pfile backed up earlier should resolve this issue.
In case it doesn't, pls do open a TAR with Oracle support.

Hi
Do you have the backup of your parameter file...? If so, pls copy it to /database directory and then you can start your db normally.
Before that check the service (oracleservice<sidname>) you have created is still existing else create the service.
