hi
the system tablespace seems to be full. can i add a datafile system2 and mount it in a different path eg. /mnt/ora_index/
coz we mount data ts datafiles in index when its full.

You should not be creating your own objects in the system tablespace (if that is the reason it filled up).
Yes you can add a datafile, or you can just set it to autoextend. Where you put it is up to you.
