Hi guys

A few weeks ago I took to admin oracle db, version 8.1.7. In this db there a lot of tablespace dictionary managed.
I want to ask you:

1. I want to migrate to local managment tb.
I plan to export all objects from my tb
next drop them
next create again with local managemnt
next import to them data
is it correct??

2. I want to speed up index inseertion operation on tb with enabel loggin
Can I disable logging on tb with only index objects??

cheers

enabling logging will not speed your operation.
Disable logging or NOLOGGING mode operations run a little faster.
Make sure you backup immediately after this process.

If you are going to take the time to export everything and recreate it, why not upgrade to 10g (or at least 9iR2) in the process?
