I have installed 10g with RAC. My installation is working fine. But when i try to change my host name i get 29702 error at startup. I have made changes to tns.ora,lis.ora and init.ora files, of course i have checked the entries in the host and modifies them as well. But the error is still there. Am i missing any files that i should be updating ? Thanks for the help.

Make sure you have the GSD running

it is and i am still getting the same error. just for info,I am running 10grac on linux redhat AS3.
