Why NOT users in SYSTEM default_tablespace? [message #64506]

I have read that users should not have 'SYSTEM' as a default_tablespace. Can someone please explain why? Thanks.

It's the same reason why you cannot park on the parking places of the company's president: It is reserved.
You might get away with it a couple of times, but eventually you will be in trouble ;-)

SYSTEM is reserved for Oracle-stuff, just like user SYS, it should not be used.

Try it in your test database.
prior to introduction of LMT ( locally managed tablespacees) all tablespaces including system tablespace is DMT ( dictionary managed).
So, when you throw your users custom objects into SYSTEM tablespace it severly gets fragmented.
so you not only risk your user data , but also the metadata.
and to add with you may end up with issues during export / import.
In a whole, having any NON-SYS object in a system tablespcae is NOT recomended.
