Hi all,

It´s my first post here.
I hope help you when I know about it
and help me too.

Well,

My question, I think, it´s easy.

My database is in archive log mode e it´s
generating some *.ARC.

Can I drop the old *.ARC file?
Is there problem in this?

Thank you very much!

after you have taken an online backup , you can delete the concerned archived log files ( the hotbackup of datafile and archivedlog files are need for restore/recovery operations).
If you are not worried about that ( say it is your personal PLAY database ) and it is Okie to loose some data in event of recovery/restore , YOU can just delete the archive log files or better turn them OFF.
