I have set the kernel parameters also as per the Oracle 9i installation
guide. And also I tried the same with increasing the shared pool size
but of no help.

Can you please throw some light on this?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Regards,

Sachin

what is the value for ulimit.
Try increasing it.
For hp 11 or hp 10, ulimit is fixed. ( I am not sure...talk to your unix admin).

what is the current value for shared_pool_size.
Most probably you need to increase your shared_pool_size and LARGE_POOL_SIZE.

Hey Sachin,

Even i am facing the same problem on AIX which you were facing
(ORA-04031: unable to allocate 2216 bytes of shared memory ("shared pool","unknown object","KGLS heap","KGLS MEM BLOCK"))

Sad

Have found any solution for that.
If yes please help me out Boss.

Thanks in advance.

Siva
