hi all
when i am installing personal oracle 8 or 8i on windows 98 machine, it loads successfully.
but when i configure sql net easy config, its giving error as java runtime error .
even i tried manually changing tnsnames.ora file
also but when iam connecting as system/manager@prod
its giving error for tnsnames.ora
if i connect as system/manager it works fine.

plz let me know the solution for this.

As you are cooneting to database on Personal Oracle, you need not to specify the connection string. As there is single database. As you are saying that system/manager works fine...that mean you are well connecting with Oracle database.
