Hi experts,

My Oracle Database ( 8.0 ) is running on windows NT. My Company is planning to Migrate it to Oracle 8i.

My Question is My older database has a block size 2K and I want to use a bigger block size in my new version, therefore will there be any problem due to the block size difference.

We planned to migrate with export/import utility.

Also suggest me any others points I should consider while doing migration to Oracle 8i.

It is very very Urgent, therefore Quick reply is higly appreciated.

If you use import export you can do the migration successfully.

Yes, if you do export/import
you must do:
1. full export from your current 8.0 db
2. create new 8i db with blocksize you want
3. full import

Best luck.
