Hi,

I want to resize my redologs. I have 3 Redo-groups with my standard-installation. So I added 2 new groups with members which have the requested size. After that I deleted the old ones.

Worked fine in a test-enviroment!

My questions:

Have anybody experience with this method in a production enviroment? Can this cause trouble?

(I want to downsize the files)

And is this the only method to change the sitze of the redologs?

hi

is u'r database in archivelog mode or in noarchivelog mode .. if it is in archivelog mode then there will be no problems b'coz u'r redo log files will be archived safely. if it is in noarchivelog mode and u have deleted old redo log files , so in event of crash u will not be able to recover the database (in complete recovery... so check these points... otherwise the steps u have taken above will work fine
