I have initiated Auditing on several objects and users and can see the audit log entries accumulating in the sys.aud$ table.  However, I am not 100% sure as to what each column in the sys.aud$ represents and need to get a better handle of how to decipher the data that is being logged.  I would like to have some documentation as to what each column is tracking - does anyone have any idea where I can get this information from?

Hi,

SYS.AUD$ is not documented in the Server Reference Guide. It's better to use the documented views created on SYS.AUD$ - like DBA_AUDIT_TRAIL, DBA_AUDIT_OBJECT, DBA_AUDIT_SESSION, DBA_AUDIT_STATEMENT, DBA_AUDIT_EXIST, etc.

Best regards.

Frank
