Hi
Pls help. I've added a new datafile into a TS with initial 200K and next 2M, maxextent is 2000M. ( this is an index TS )
When i query dba_data_file , it appears but when i query either dba_segments or dba_indexes it doesn't appear. What is the reason? Pls advice......

Hi,
Well dba_segments & dba_indexes list available segments and indexes in the database, it will not show you any physical structure of your database. You have added a new datafile that you can see in dba_data_files or v$datafile. Use proper views to get proper info.
