I have an export file of size around 3 GB which has been exported from oracle 8.1.7 database. Now the database is corrupted . While importing it in oracle 9.0.1 database it  imports 650 tables only. My system config is PIII 1Ghz. 250 MB ram and 40 GB HD.

I tried with another export file having 50 tables. It imported successfully . After that again I imported this file. It imported only 600 tables. Hence it maintains always 650 tables. Also , I have tried the indexfile option. It gives the scripts of 650 tables. But its not giving any erros or error message in log file. Simply aborts.

Kindly help me to resolve this problem.

  Thanks in advance.

Do you have the export log file. If yes, check if the other tables (other
than those 650) are actually exported.

Hi
thanks for ur response.
i dont have neither the source database nor the export log file. Im using windows2000 server have enough space on the hard disk and the autoextend is on .
Is there any way to extract atleast the DDLs(table, index, triggers, procedures etc) other than indexfile option ?.
Thanks in advance.

Did you try the SHOW=Y option with the imp utiltiy. It should just list
the commands used for createing objects.

Please, post your import parameter file (*.par) and the import log file (*.log).

It's hard to say what's happening w/o this information.

Hope that helps,
