Hi,
i need some urgent help please.....
when i am coneecting to oracle by connect sys/oracle as sysdba my sys user takes any password. that is instead of the password oracle if i type anything that will be taken as valid password.

Hi,
When you are connecting with sys/oracle as sysdba, connection will be based on / as sysdba only since whatever wrong password you give after sys/ it will be accepted because you are using O.S authentication, you might have logged in as a super user. By default when you login as oracle privileged user you can connect to the database as "/ as sysdba".
