On friday night I resized our production database and after doing that kicked off the backup.  The backups get run from a login other than oracle.   Prior to the resizing (export data, recreate database and import data), the other account was able to attach through sqlplus using the oracle system login name and was able to attach as sysdba or sysoper which were needed to perform the hot backups.  When the backup kicked off on Sunday morning, the privileges were no longer there and I had to login into the oracle account on our system to attach as sysoper or sysdba.

I would prefer to run the backups from the other account but not sure what may have changed.  Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks
