I have issue with Japanese double byte character.

Daily we are extracting data from MFGPRO to ORACLE via INFORMATICA. We have test as well as Production environment.

This Japanese double byte characters are stored properly in Test oracle database but incorrect in PRODUCTION database. Software version in both Test and Production are same.

For Example:

Test Database

SONY;SONY PRECISION TECH;JPC1103400; ;C1103400-4140;OEM;BRONZE;JPY;FCA&#124N25EON4M?-92-2897?-93-4350|| &#124"Ñ"C;10-DATA;C1103400-4140;SONY PRECISION TECH; ;?_"Þ?ÌŒ§ˆÉ?¨Œ´ŽS-É?Ì45;ˆÉ?¨Œ´?H‹Æ’C’N; ; ;259-1146;JAPAN; ; ;OPEN;0;1;0;

Production Database

SONY;SONY PRECISION TECH;JPC1103400; ;C1103400-4140;OEM;BRONZE;JPY;FCA&#124N25EON4M?-92-2897?-93-4350|| &#124SC;10-DATA;C1103400-4140;SONY PRECISION TECH; ;_`n)

The above red bold characters are properly stored in oracle test database but are incorrect in Production database.

Is the problem with oracle database or Informatica?

Can anyone Please help me on this problem.

Thanks in Advance,

At first - how you are move data(via insert's or export/import). Second - verify that both databases have similar character set and national character set.

We are using Informatica for transfering data from MFGPRO to oracle.Informatica Mapping's will take care for insertion. Character set and national character set are similar in both the database.

This seem that very possible problem is in your Informatica(for example I don't know what this is the packet).
