i configured the tns names and listener the listener status and tnsping is working to connect different sid test

but when i am trying to connect the database using sqlplus with the username/password with the sid test its giving the error
TNS-12638 Credential retrieval failed

Cause: The authentication service failed to retrieve the credentials of a user.

how to rectifiy this error

Try disabling authentication,encryption parameters in your sqlnet.ora file.

If it still doesnt solve your problem,enable sqlnet tracing to get more information.
