Hello,
I'm using Toad DB2 4.7
In "Toad Automation Script", I'm able to choose "Select to File" in Database Activities and output to a csv file.

However, business process requires TAB Delimited TXT file. I'm NOT able see that in export option or any other activities.

Can someone help me setup automation to TAB file?

Your help is much appreciated!

Another approach, perhaps?

(I'm not sure that it'll work because - I use Oracle version, while yours is DB2 one so options might differ).

In Editor, run the SELECT statement; if what you meant to do was to export the whole table, it would be "SELECT * FROM THAT_TABLE". Otherwise, you'd create any SELECT statement you want (which includes joins etc.).

Now right click the result window and choose "Export dataset" (see the options displayed on the screenshot).

Hello,
I'm able to run automation successfully, however, when I schedule it, it DID NOT create the file. I have verified this with two of my automation (.tas) and one is very simple export two rows into a csv file.

Why is there difference when I schedule it? Some additional permission that I need to set it up?

Windows Scheduler is on the same box, so not sure what you meant by different OS environment.
Some additional Permission that I need to allow it to run successfully through Windows Scheduler?

Here's the command windows scheduler is setup to run:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\ToadDB2\Toad.exe" -batch=true "C:\LAW\Toad\LAWToad.tas"

Ah! Not sure it is a culprit, but TOAD for Oracle works rather strange (or doesn't work at all) if installed into a directory that contains brackets in it. Therefore, I installed it into C:\TOAD and everything seems to be fine here. Now, as your installation went to "Program Files (x86)", maybe it causes problems, and maybe not. Can't tell for sure. Can you afford reinstalling it?
